Simba Camp Kilimanjaro is the first overnight campsite on the Rongai Route, located at approximately 2,650 meters on the northern side of Mount Kilimanjaro. The camp sits in a transition zone between forest and moorland, offering open views of the surrounding plains and distant landscapes toward Kenya.
It serves as an essential starting point for acclimatization as climbers begin their ascent toward higher camps such as Second Cave and Kikelewa. The environment is quieter and less crowded compared to southern routes, making Simba Camp Kilimanjaro ideal for trekkers seeking a more remote and gradual climb.
