Barafu Camp Kilimanjaro is the main summit base camp located on the southeastern slope of Mount Kilimanjaro at an altitude of about 4,673 meters. The camp serves as the final overnight stop for climbers trekking the Machame Route, Lemosho Route, and Umbwe Route before their summit attempt. Set on a rocky alpine desert ridge, Barafu Camp offers dramatic views of the surrounding glaciers, valleys, and the distant plains below.
