Arusha Coffee Lodge sits on the outskirts of Arusha town, on the lower slopes of Mount Meru, within one of Tanzania’s largest working coffee plantations. The lodge is built around an original landowner’s homestead dating back to the early 1900s, and accommodation is spread across 30 individual Plantation Houses set among the coffee fields, each with an en-suite bathroom. The main Plantation House holds an à la carte restaurant, a café bistro, and a lounge with open log fires, alongside a swimming pool and a garden terrace. Guests can join a coffee tour that follows the crop from picking through to roasting and tasting. The lodge is roughly five minutes from Arusha Airport, making it a common stop before or after a Tanzania safari.
