Buffalo Camp Kilimanjaro is a remote high-altitude campsite located on the northern slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro at approximately 4,020 meters. It is primarily used on the Northern Circuit Route and serves as a key acclimatization stop after crossing the Shira Plateau.
The camp is set in an alpine desert environment with wide open terrain, sparse vegetation, and panoramic views stretching across the northern side of the mountain toward Kenya. Due to its remote location, it offers a quieter trekking experience compared to more popular routes. Buffalo Camp Kilimanjaro provides a strategic resting point as climbers gradually approach higher camps and the summit stage.
