Mweka Camp

Mweka Camp is the final overnight campsite for climbers descending Mount Kilimanjaro via the Mweka Route. Located in the lush montane forest zone, the camp provides a calm and green environment after the summit journey.

Accommodation here is in simple tents set up by trekking teams. The camp has shared bathroom facilities and a large dining tent where climbers enjoy warm meals and rest after a long day of hiking. Because this is the last stop before exiting the park, the atmosphere at Mweka Camp is often relaxed and celebratory. It is a practical and important part of the Kilimanjaro climbing experience before heading back to the park gate the next morning.
