Ziwani Lodge is set on an escarpment on the western shores of Lake Eyasi, overlooking the lake and the surrounding Rift Valley. It runs as an eco-lodge, powered entirely by solar and wind energy, and can be reached by a roughly 1 hour 15 minute road transfer from Lake Manyara Airport. The seven guest cottages are built from stone and timber with limited glass, a design drawn from local architecture that keeps interiors naturally cool. Rooms include a bedroom with a double bed or twin beds, a writing desk and chair, ceiling fan, and an en-suite bathroom with large wooden shutters opening onto the landscape.
Stays are booked on a full-board basis, covering all meals, a selection of alcoholic and soft drinks, and laundry service. The property has a swimming pool, a small library, and a covered patio for relaxing during the day.
